Brogers Creek rises in the steep valleys which abutt the Barren Grounds Nature Reserve. During heavy rains waters surge down this creek cutting off residents who must rely on a flying fox to get across the creek.

The causeway is very dangerous during heavy rain as the waters rise rapidly & to date, three people have lost their lives trying to drive through the flooded creek.
