The building at 628 W. Sheridan is known as the Oklahoma Theater Supply Company building. This company moved to this location in 1949 and was an integral part of the motion picture industry in this district. They supplied cameras, projectors, lenses, theater seating and even popcorn machines to the theaters in the region. This company supplied the original seating for the Civic Center Music Hall, and in the 1950s supplied outdoor speakers for drive-in theaters.

Today the building looks much like it did in 1949, however, in 2007 when the district was added to the National Register, this building had a perforated metal siding added to the second floor facade. That has been removed and the original window unit on the second floor is again exposed.

The upper floor has a unit of six windows, each with a 2 x 4 pane pattern. The entire unit of windows is surrounded by a wide, recessed “picture frame” border, which is original to the building. It is metal or wood and painted gray. The entrance is a single aluminum and glass door also surrounded by the gray framing. Above the door is a semi-circular, flat canopy. To the east of the door is a large three-panel display window, again bordered with the picture frame surround. Between the first and second floors, the beige stucco facade has a gray painted panel attached, on which black letters read “OKLAHOMA THEATER SUPPLY CO.” The building has a clean-cut, metallic look.

This building is Item 6 on the District nomination.
