Dieser alte Brunnentrog befand sich früher an einer anderen Stelle der Heinrich-Cotta-Str. und musste wegen dem Bau eines Gebäudes versetzt werden. Heute steht er am Schloss Tharandt zur Verzierung des Weges. Er ist nicht mehr in Betrieb und besteht nur noch aus dem Sandsteintrog des früheren Brunnens. Er ist in eine Mauer gefasst und trägt die Inschrift "im Juli 1836".
The old fountain trough was earlier at a different place at the Heinrich-Cotta-Str. Due to the construction of a building, the fountain had to move. Today it's located near the castle Tharandt for decoration. It is no longer in operation and consists only of the sand stone trough. There is no water supply anymore. It is enclosed in a wall and bears the inscription "in Juli 1836".
