"Vacationers initially paid a dollar day to stay in a beach cottage like this one. although typical of a 1 to 2 room rentals found in Camp Capitola this one built in 1907 came to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk cottage City.
For more than 30 years it offered beach visitors a place to retreat from hot into your Valley California.
In 1941 the cottage was sold online with several others to meet wait for parking lot. The new owners move did you come to tell a way remained for 60 years in Oak Avenue backyard.
when threatened with demolition in 2004 the city of Capitola arranged it's relocation to present site next to the Capitol museum.
With support from the community the building has been restored with interior exhibit interpreting TOURIST lifestyles in Capitola and all along the Santa Cruz County coastline circa 1907 to 1917."
