At one time the Nike Missile Site B03 CL was one of sixteen base that surrounded the city of Boston. The Reading site is about 13 miles north of the city just beyond present day Boston ring road I-95/Route 128. The site was used by Nike Ajax missiles.

In 1994, after the base was discontinued the city of Reading converted the area into the Burbank Ice Staking Arena. Access to this area is via Symonds Way off Haverhill Street. There is ample parking adjacent to the arena. Behind the arena is the posted land of the Reading Rifle & Revolver Club and their shooting range.
