This location was originally the adobe home of John and Lucy Huntsman with the first blacksmith shop in a brush shed behind the house. Vonda's Café (Circa 1939) This building was erected in 1939 by Joe and Vonda Wilson, and operated as Vonda's Café for many years. It had the first slot machines in Mesquite and its neon clock was known as "The Curfew Clock" for local youth.
