New Carlisle, Quebec is a small town in the Gaspésie region of Quebec, Canada. It is best known as the boyhood home of René Lévesque; although he was born at Campbellton, New Brunswick.
The population is approximately 1430, half English-speaking and half French-speaking.
Curious fact: in New Carlisle, hydrants have a nice look nice. They are painted different colors and remind some popular heroes of cartoons. It is the work of a young artist called Chad Clark. The most beautiful ones, most colorful are located along Road 132.
This one looks like a small dog with long black ears.
