Mountain Shadow Hostel is located on the western edge of downtown Rossland, BC, just 5 minutes from Red Mountain. It is housed in a 115 year old building - the one time West Kootenay Power Offices. If you're into skiing at all and you're Canadian, you'll know Red Mountain. For those few who don't - it's where Nancy Greene grew up and became a world and Olympic Champion skier. Every second road, park or building here seems to be named Nancy Greene something.

The hostel has 48 beds, no age restrictions, has internet and takes all major credit cards. I'm guessing that in the winter a reservation would not be unwise.
