Here in this area they came into the line of fire.
11 citizens of Valkenburg were killed, the youngest among them was 1 years old and the oldest almost 62 years old.

IN MEMORIAM
In de meidagen van 1940vluchtten veel Valkenburgers weg uit het dorp richting Leiden.
Hier in de omgeving kwamen zij in de vuurlinie terecht.
Daarbij vonden 11 burgers uit Valkenburg de dood, de jongste was 1 jaar en de oudste bijna 62 jaar.
