I heard about this hotsprings from a friend, but was told that crossing private property was required to get to it. I made it kind of a mission to see if I could find a way in that wouldn't require hopping any fences, and finally concluded that a float down the Little Sur River was about the only way to do it.
I assembled a team (Sgt Stitches, and Cpl Kiwi), and we set out one spring day to float down the river and try and find these elusive hotsprings. After 6 hours of brutal thrashing down the river, Cpl Kiwi pulled over one large boulder in the river and exclaimed, "What's this?". Sure enough, piled up sandbags told us that we had reached our goal. After soaking for a few minutes, we continued our struggle down the river to my car which we had shuttled to the bottom that morning.
We placed four caches along the river, including one near the hotsprings. This is a extremely arduous adventure only meant for the very physically fit.
