It is bordered by Yakacik, Yuva and Karsiyaka neighbourhoods within the same district. The district gardens were once famous for their watermelon production, though it is presently an urban area."

Ankara Metro
The Ankara Metro, running since 1997, runs from Kizilay, the city center, to the Batikent suburb in the northwest. The line is 14.7 km long (6.5 km underground, 4.5 km surface, and 3.7 km elevated railway) and has 12 stations.
