This caboose is hard to miss as you enter town from the west. It is parked right next to the Yellville Depot, which serves as the Yellville Chamber of Commerce.

According to this Yahoo! Groups thread (
visit link) , this caboose "was built by Missouri Pacific in 1950 in their Sedalia shops. It was renumbered 13470 then 11470. It was retired and sold in 1983." It was purchased and used by Gene's Trout Fishing Resort in Salesville Arkansas, and is now on display at the Yellville Chamber of Commerce, used as a meeting and party room.
Current Use:
It is on display at the Yellville Chamber of Commerce, and is available for rent as a meeting room.
