In Oppershausen, einem kleinen Dorf im Unstrut-Heinich-Kreis in Thüringen, steht die Kirche St. Marien. Die Bewohner des Ortes besuchen die Kirche sonntags zum Gottesdienst.
Eine erste Kirche “St. Severi”, zu der der jetzt noch stehende Turm gehört haben dürfte, ist etwa 1223 erbaut.
Im Jahre 1734 ist wahrscheinlich das meiste der jetzigen “St. Marien“- Kirche erbaut.
1747 wurde der Turm repariert und mit einem kupfernen Knopf und einer Wetterfahne versehen
