Joe Cardinal House

This home was built in 1908 for Joe Cardinal, an early manager of the Minden Flour Mill. His daughter Gretchen, the first child born in Minden, was born in this house in 1909. The Minden Fortnightly Club, a women’s service club still active today, was founded on the front porch in 1910. Cardinal was one of the charter members of the Minden Commercial Club founded in 1920. The club was the predecessor for the Town Board which presently governs Minden.
