Based on what I have heard you go to Allman's because it has been serving BBQ for 50 or years. Now you can't stay in business for 50 years without doing something right. All dining experiences are made up of the food, staff and atmoshphere. Apparently Allman's is heavy on the atmosphere and staff and a bit light on the food side of things.
Ratings give the BBQ at best an average rating.
