Orlamünde liegt im thüringischen Saale-Holzland-Kreis direkt an der Mündung der Orla in die Saale (?Lage?) zwischen den Städten Jena und Rudolstadt. Mit einer Fläche von 758 ha und seinen rund 1.300 Einwohnern zählt sie zu den kleinsten Städten Thüringens und gehört zusammen mit anderen Gemeinden zur Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Südliches Saaletal.
Die Geschichte, natürlich auch die Kirchengeschichte der Stadt hängt eng mir der des Landkreises Hof, Saale zusammen und ist historisch bewiesen und hinterlegt...
