The Booderee Botanic Gardens are the only Aboriginal owned botanic gardens in Australia. Local Koori people use the amphitheatre as the venue to teach visitors about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants, the long association they have had with the area and the plants of south eastern Australia.

Recitals are also held here particularly in the evening and the amphitheatre has subdued lighting. The amphitheatre is surrounded by the Australian bush and is well away from traffic noise and urban lights.
Type of Amphitheater: Contemporary Amphitheater
