Long Description:
The bridge was built in 1957, to the great relief of the locals, as it replaced a ferry which by that time was seriously overtaxed.

The painting was done in 2011 by Tea Preville, a Nelson resident whose body of work has become quite large. She is an artist of eclectic output and eclectic media, this one a Plein-Air Oil Study.

The photo was taken May 30th at 8:38 P.M. Painting and photo are done/taken from the beach in Nelson's largest park, Rotary Lakeside Park.
