The beach is accessed via a flight of steps which pass through a grove of eucalyptus. The houses that sit directly above the beach are all holiday rentals. I visited on a stormy winter's day so had it all to myself. In the warmer months it would be more popular however still relatively private because of the steep access & over 70 steps. The easily accessible crescent shaped Washerwomans Beach to the south is more popular but covered in seaweed on the day I visited.
There are no facilities so you need to bring everything with you. As well the beach is not serviced by Surf Life Savers so ensure you can recognise rips & supervise your children.
It is a very picturesque beach more suited to secluded sun bathing, fishing & investigating life amongst the many boulders on the foreshore. You can take your dog for a walk providing it is on a leash.
