Honkfest is another delightful work created by very talented Canadian artist, Douglas Walker.
Douglas is a master at taking ordinary objects and turning them into finely crafted artworks. He recycles an assortment of discarded musical instruments, brass, copper, plumbing parts, gauges, dials, etc. and transforms them into a magical piece of art.
On this work, there are four spoked wheels that are turned by water. There are one or two small water jets trained on each wheel's perimeter, propelling each one in water wheel fashion.
