This 3-ton stainless steel sculpture, Wind Wind Wind, is located at 60 State Street in downtown Boston. The plaque at the art piece reads as follows:

Wind Wind Wind
Michio Ihara, Sculptor

Dedicated in Wellesley, Massachusetts 1973

Rededicated in Boston, Massachusetts 2012

Michio Ihara's kinetic sculptures are based on modular combinations of single shapes repeated throughout the sculpture. Each smaller shape builds upon itself to evoke a sense of fluidity and lightness that works within a given space. The artist's ultimate goal is to create a harmonious connection between his sculptures and the surrounding environment.
