This is the second largest Erratic in the state of Oregon. It was featured on Grant McOmie's Getaways.

An Erratic is a rock or boulder carried from its original source by an act of nature. Rocks of this type are found in Montana and Canada. The granite boulder was deposited at present day Left Coast Cellars, Rickreall, Oregon about 15,000-12,000 years ago. Geologists say it was carried there embedded in an iceberg during the Missoula Ice Age Floods that swept though the Willamette Valley as far as Eugene, Oregon when the flood waters were constricted at Kalama Narrows.
