There are no menus here. Your server will rattle off your options, but there's also a chalkboard near the front door telling you what's for dinner. While this is Texas, where beef is king, the specialty here is ribs. They are wonderful dry, but their light, smokey character is enhanced with a sweet, tangy sauce that you can apply yourself. They also serve brisket, jalapeño sausage, and turkey, and your sides are potato salad, barbecue beans, cole slaw, chips, and baked potato casserole. Those going for something a little smaller can pick up a brisket, sausage, or turkey sandwich, and even turkey and brisket salads are available. They have a full bar, a selection of soft drinks, and peach or blackberry cobbler for dessert (with Blue Bell ice cream, if you so choose).
The atmosphere is casual here, kid-friendly (although I don't know about high chairs or booster seats), and no smoking. Cash and credit cards are accepted, and they fulfill carry-out orders. Note: As of this posting, in 8/2013, their website was down for maintenance.
