In Norwood, along Nahatan Street and near the center of town is the Norwood Public Safety - Police-Fire Building.
The building is located on the north side of the road, near the intersection with Lenox Street and across the street from a strip mall.
The building is a three-four story red brick structure that houses both the fire and police department. On the right side are five garage bays housing various vehicles.
According to the town's annual report for 2012, there are 64 total fire staff plus 10 civilian staff in the fire department.
Norwood itself is a medium sized suburb of Boston, located about 15 miles south of downtown Boston. Not only does it cover 29,000 residents, but it also must cover US 1, which has large areas of commercial and industrial buildings. There are other commercial and industrial areas in town, as well.
I could find nothing that listed or counted the fire equipment. A nomimal number of 8 was entered. There are at least one ladder, pumper, rescue, hazmat, and ambulance.
