From a newsrelease:"Peace Seekers of Washington County will be dedicating a Peace Pole on Saturday, September 22nd at 2 PM at the Labyrinth Garden near the North Main Street entrance to Regner Park, West Bend, WI. We will also be observing the International Day of Prayer For Peace. The public is welcome to attend. (Parking in the lot on the east side of N. Main St.) Also we will be requesting the Mayor of West Bend to Issue a proclamation concerning the International Day of Prayer For Peace."
The inscription on the pole reads: "Peace Pole Monument Peace poles are handcrafted monuments erected the world over as an international symbol of peace. Their purpose is to spread the message, "May Peace Prevail on Earth," and act as a constant reminder for us to visualize hope for world peace. Installed on September 22, 2007 by Peace Seekers of Washington County."
The adjacent labyrinth is set in a very beautiful garden.
