The flag of Oberwil is not very old for this area. It became official in 1941. It is in the colors of the Swiss flag, the sword and the key are symbols for the saint patrons of the local catholic church, Peter and Paul. The ring inside the bow of the key is the first letter of the town name and the wavy line stands for the river Birsig.
I fould this flag at a restaurant next to the main tramway station in the town center.
