There is an art project at UCSD with a website for many artworks found across the campus...but, this piece does not appear to be part of that project. It is not evident whether the work was intended to be displayed as it is or whether most of the sculpture has collapsed. Either way, the work now has one upright figure made with some type of industrial chain...resembling some sort of 15 foot flame. Strewn about the area near this piece are similar chain structures which appear to have stood upright at one timeas well.
There is no sign at the site indicating the title, artist or date.
