Starohutský vodopád is one of the nicest and greatest waterfalls in the volcanic rocks of Central Slovakia is located in the altitude of 505 m above the sea level.
It is one of the 5 Slovak waterfalls declared by the Ministry of Environment as national nature monuments.
The waterfall 5 metres high, created after the occurrence of tectonic depression of
Sklený creek valley, which became separated from the
Jakešova rock block within the environment of the Cenozoic andezites.
Waterfall can be visited without any restriction by marked educational trail
