On Main Street in downtown Minco, a small park area contains a veterans memorial and a lovely gazebo. A curving path leads from the memorial to the gazebo at the rear of the park. The brick pavers are imbedded in a concrete walk. There are only about 25-30 pavers. Most likely they were donations for the setting of the gazebo.
The pavers are various sizes, and there is room for additional engravings. One of the pavers is engraved: "Ward Roysden / Col. U.S. Army / WWI & WWII". Ward Roysden (6/22/1895 - 6/7/1958) is laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, northeast of Minco.
