Nelson's Bethel Christian Centre has been affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for over seventy years.

Affiliation
Recognizing the value of working in a fellowship of several churches, Bethel Christian Centre has been a part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for over seventy years. By voluntarily participating with the PAOC, Bethel has an ongoing source of support, accountability and resources through the District Office in Langley, BC and a broader influence in the world through the International Office in Mississauga, ON.

Beliefs
Bethel Christian Centre holds to a conservative evangelical theology which includes the following emphases:

• Jesus Christ: is both our God and Saviour, being both fully God and fully man. He is unique and distinct from all other religious figures and is the Lord over all creation. • The Bible: is the inerrant and authoritative word of God. In it is found the revelation of God himself and the means by which human beings can be in right relationship with him. This book alone is our final authority for faith and practice.
• Salvation: all human beings need to be reconciled to God because of their sin in both nature and conduct. It is only through Jesus Christ that this salvation is found.
• Heaven and Hell: both are eternal, heaven as a reward for those found to be righteous in Christ Jesus, and hell as the punishment for those who have not surrendered to the Lordship of Christ and received forgiveness for their sin.

In addition to these key beliefs, Bethel is a classical Pentecostal church which holds to the distinctives described in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths.

Values
While our beliefs define the essence of our being as a church, our values highlight the ways in which we go about living those beliefs. So, in living as ones inspired by the Cross and determined to show our love for God by serving others, we hold the following values:

Values
• Inspiring Worship: passionately acknowledging God in every area of life
• Grace and Forgiveness: we give to others what Jesus has given us
• Participation in Community: everyone has a part to play both within the church and in the community at large
• Depth of Character: through personal study and discipline that enriches interpersonal relationships
• Clear Communication: everyone needs to understand what we are saying
• Inter-Church Connectedness: we intentionally participate with fellow churches in Nelson
