The Crowsnest River plunges 12 m (39 ft) into a deep pool in the canyon below creating Lundbreck Falls. There are actually two falls cascading over massive boulders. There is an observation platform where you can enjoy the specular view. You can also walk down into the limestone gorge for a closer look.
Lundbreck Fall is located on Township Road 74C which crosses Highway 3, aka The Crowsnest Highway, about 1/4 mile east of the Crowsnest River Bridge on Highway 3, just upstream of a graceful arch bridge just upstream from the falls.
The province must have appreciated the waterfall, as well, as they created a
Provincial Recreation Area nearby. It is a well appointed day use area with picnic tables and a campground with a total of 72 campsites. The Crowsnest River is one of the area's premier trout fishing rivers.
Coordinates given will take one to the parking area by the falls.
