The
Ringe Memorial Pool has served the community, providing entertainment for local since 1962. The pool is named after Henry and Nellie Ringe, both lifetime residents of Yreka and who's estate provided the funding to erect the pool in 1962 after Nellie's death (you can read more about the Ringe family
here).
This community pool is showing its age after 50 years of use and has been in jeopardy of shutting down due to lack of funding and maintenance costs. The pool is currently operating during the summer months by a volunteer group known as Yreka Splash who utilize the city funds appropriated to the swimming pool to keep it staffed and and maintained.
The pool was empty when our family visited it in May of last year, the season doesn't start at this pool until June.
