Hillcrest Village has been dying a long, slow death, and this was one of the casualties. As of December 2020, there are plans to build a park around whatever shops have survived.

They are a small building out in a shopping center parking lot, with two service windows. Obviously, they specialize in hot dogs, with an eye towards Chicago-style dogs (and the poppy seed buns are really a nice touch), but they also serve burgers, deli sandwiches, and grilled cheese. Soft drinks, bottled water, and chips are available, and one can even get shaved ice or a smoothie for later. They accept cash and credit cards, and there are a few picnic tables outside for those who want to dine in the nice weather (in a spectacular concrete jungle environment with a great view of a shopping center). Feel free to call in your order in advance for faster service, but average wait time is less than five minutes.
