Saint Boniface Cemetery of Holy Angels - Sublimity, Oregon - Outdoor Stations of the Cross on Waymarking.com

This bronze sculpture includes a cross, depicting the 12th station of the cross: the crucifixion. It is located in a prominent position within the Cemetery of Holy Angels, on the grounds of Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, Oregon. The cross is immediately behind (but not atop) the graves of three former pastors: Rev. Anthony Lainck (1865-1927), Rev. Joseph Scherbring (1888-1955) and Rev. Francis Scherbring (1890-1935). The cross is approximately seven feet tall and was likely erected in the mid-20th century. Memorial plaques to the three pastors are found along the base that the stations sits atop.
