The box car and caboose serve as storage and canteen. They came from Western Pacific line. The open house is worth the park admission ($4/ car). Members trailer in models to show.
The route goes from the turntable to the river.
The restrooms are painted in off gold (traditional station) color.
There are picnic tables. Trains often run on the second Sunday.
Especially Father's Day, Halloween, and Christmas.
A shingle over the kiosk at the Hagen Park entrance is on display when the train is running.
The SVLSRM is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, organized to preserve railroad history and promote education regarding steam (and diesel) engines and railroads. (/ their brochure)
Site is available for private parties (b'days, picnics, company events). www.svlsrm.org Admission to Hagen Park is $5 /car.
