The Palms is a Hotel Casino and residential tower resort located just west of the Las Vegas Strip. it was commissioned in 2000 by the Maloof brothers of Sacramento Kings ownership fame. It was completed in 2001, with the Grand Opening Gala in Novemeber of that year.
It's geared for the younger, 21-39 demographic, with several trendy nightclubs, bars clubs theaters and other attractions. There are a total of over 653 rooms. The suites in the Tower are among the most expensive in the world, with the 2 story Sky Villa averaging over $35,000 a NIGHT.
There is a large 95,000+ ft gaming area, with a full range of table games, slot and video machines, as well as Keno, Sports Book etc. There are several restaurants ranging from standard Food Court fare all the way up to Michelin-rated gourmet eateries.
