A very old church set up high on a hill overlooking the town of hawkesbury, in Eastern Ontario.

The cornerstone for a stone church in Hawkesbury was laid on June 26, 1844 and Holy Trinity Church was opened for Divine service in 1846. The church was built on land donated by Mr. Peter McGill and the building was consecrated in 1855. Extensive alterations and improvements to the building were made and the church was re-opened in 1859.
A stone parsonage had been built by 1883. Repairs and improvements again were made to Holy Trinity in 1938 to preserve the structure. The 100th anniversary of Holy Trinity Church, Hawkesbury was celebrated in 1946. A Columbarium was built and dedicated in 1986. The 150th anniversary was celebrated in 1996.
Holy Trinity is part of the two point parish of Hawkesbury with the Church of the Nativity, L'Orignal.
