EN: The two-story apartment building on Rennweg is a work of Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). The well-known architect was the company architect of the pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche in the 1930s, for Roche he designed a large number of buildings around the world.

The residence for the then managing director Emil Barell he built in 1934. The outwardly unostentatious flat roof building is a good example of the modern architecture of the early 20th century.

Die Villa für den damaligen Generaldirektor Emil Barell baute er 1934. Das äusserlich schlichte Flachdachgebäude ist ein exemplarisches Beispiel für den modernen Baustil des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts.
