Description of Memorial: I stopped here for a geocache and had to take pictures of the War Memorial.
There is a large area paved with bricks that has a 20 foot star on it.
The actual San Juan War Memorial is a black granite slab with easy to read white lettering. It is flanked by two other black granite slabs. The one to the left begins "What is a veteran?" and the one to the right begins 'I am your flag,'
Six flagpoles with US Flags and a flag of each branch of the military are actually part of the 9/11 memorial.
