This marble sculpture is located on one of the stairway balustrades in the gardens of the Belvedere Palace. It is one of several (probably twelve) that have been named after the months of the year. This one, named "December" depicts a young male child, standing with hands raised in a prayer stance. He seems to hold a shepard's staff and wears a wrap around his waist with a piece that trails onto the ground.
Unfortunately there is no sign at the site indicating the artist or date.
