In Needham, at the corner of Highland Avenue and Webster Street, is Needham Fire Dept. Sta. 2.
The station is located in the northern part of town at a very busy intersection. The building is a brick structure facing the intersection. The front building is 2 1/2 stories tall and has a peaked shingled roof. There is a cupola on the roof that may have had a bell in it but presently does not. There are two garage bays. From that, probably two fire trucks are there. The rear part is built on a slope that drops off.
I could not find much about this station, specifically. The annual report for 2013 for Needham really wasn't that enlightening, either. Needham is a town with a population of about 28,000 people. It is within the Boston metropolitan area. This station covers roughly the area known as Needham Heights, which includes the village center, I-95/MA Route 128, and the industrial/commercial areas surrounding the highway.
