Napoléon III lui décerne d’ailleurs en 1865 La Médaille d’Or à l’exposition générale Corse.

[EN] Much later, in the 19th century, OREZZA health establishments, with their baths, showers and massages, were greatly appreciated by those seeking a cure, the thermal water being used to treat anaemia, problems of the nervous system, the liver and the kidneys and even malaria.

Belief in the miraculous healing qualities of its water became widespread.

During the second world war, the water was sent across to North Africa to restore energy and vitality to soldiers tired and strained by combat.

Its high iron and natural carbon gas content are useful in fighting both anaemia and gastro-enteric problems.
