This is the access point on Wescana Street. The trail is mostly crushed limestone although there are some grassy sections.
At the west end of the trail is Beaudry Provincial Park which gives you access to over 10 kilometres of Hiking trails.
The east end of the trail connect you to the 6.5-kilometre Harte Trail which is part of the Trans Canada Trail which has 81 kilometres of trails in the City of Winnipeg (

The Headingley Grand Trunk Trail is the abandoned CN railway bed that traverses the municipalities of Headingley and Cartier from the Perimeter Highway to Beaudry Park. The railway bed originally built by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, was used from 1894 to 1972.
The Trail covers an approximate distance of 10 kilometers.
The Headingley Grand Trunk Trail Association is responsible for the development of this trail promoting a path to health and recreation.
