The first New Apostolic Christians in Wuppertal gathered in a modest apartment am „Ostersbaum“, in den „langen Häusern“. There they conducted prayer meetings and home devotions. In 1929, the premises in Hardtstr. 14 were acquired and the first church was built.

The Second World War brought destruction of the church. In 1947, the parishioners began to build their church again. The rededication took place on 7th August 1949.
