The statue is located near to the entrance of a bus station and the posture of the grandmother and child make it look like the grand mother is rushing to catch a bus.
The child who looks to be aged about 4 years old, has dropped his teddy bear, but his grand mother has moved on. Because she is holding his hand he has moved past his bear and is straining to reach back with his free hand to try and grab the bear off the floor.
The grandmother is looking back at her grand child and so has now spotted what he is doing. She looks torn between letting him pick up his lost toy, and the need to rush for a bus - a dilemma often experienced when rushing to catch a bus when travelling with small children.
