The Sky Rider roller coaster opened in 1985. It was the park's fifth coaster, and the first to open after the original 4 in 1981.

The coaster closed on 1 Sep 2014, after 29 years and almost 23 million riders.

It was the second stand-up coaster in North America, and fifth in the world.

The ride featured an inverted loop and several 60 degree banks.
