Coordinates are at the entrance of the military installation where the repeater and antenna tower is stationed. Nobody can enter the installation unless proper DOD id or employee badge. Sysop has special permission to enter. The tower is in view from these coordinates. Tower is about 100 yards away. It is a County owned tower shared with other services. The Fauquier Amateur Radio Association (FARA) is an ARRL-affiliated association in the Roanoke Division. The association is located in Warrenton, Virginia, which is the county seat of Fauquier County.
Our focus is on ARES® activities, community support in emergency situations, and education.
