Ditzum im Rheiderland ist eine Ortschaft in der Gemeinde Jemgum im Landkreis Leer. Das Langwarftdorf entstand etwa im 8. Jahrhundert nach Christi Geburt an der Ems. Ditzum hat eine lange Tradition als Fischerdorf. Noch heute sieht man eine Anzahl Fischkutter im Muhdehafen (von altfriesisch „mutha“ = Mündung) liegen.
Der Hafen besitzt eines der letzten funktionierenden Siele in Ostfriesland. Es ist gemeinsam mit der Ditzumer Mühle und der evangelisch-reformierten Kirche prägend für das ganze Ortsbild. Die Ditzumer Kirche stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, wurde aber mehrmals umgebaut; der Turm in Form eines Leuchtturms datiert von 1846. Ditzum stellt mit Fährverbindungen nach Borkum, Delfzijl und Emden sowie mit der Fähre Ditzum–Petkum einen nautischen Verkehrsknotenpunkt dar.
Da sich der Hafen vor dem Emssperrwerk befindet, zeigen hier auch die Gezeiten ihre Wirkung.
