Here's a Geodetic survey benchmark in the last place one would think to look - at a post office.

Actually, experience tells us that this is the first place one should be looking for benchmarks. This one is in the northeast corner of the east foundation wall of the Keremeos Post Office, about 4 feet south of the corner and right down at ground level. Relatively easy to spot, actually.
From NRCAN:
Keremeos Post office, 40 m west of highway no. 3 on south side of 7 street, tablet in east concrete foundation, 80 cm from northeast corner, 15 cm below wood siding.
