GRACE VAN STUDIFORD
HOUSE

Grave Van Studiford, [sic] a celebrated Opera Singer, lived in the two-story mansion fondly referred to as "At Lasta Place." The home was destroyed by fire in 1920, but the original caretaker's house is part of an enlarged home located at 8907 Sycamore Ct. just north of the house on Midland ws the "Van Studiford Trolly Station".

History of Mark:
"Charles Van Studdiford, member of one of St. Louis' oldest families, was sued for divorce to-day by Grace Van Studdiford, the comic opera star. The petition briefly recited the date of the couple's marriage and the day in May, 1908, when Mrs. Van Studdiford alleged her husband deserted her." ~ New York Times
